Born in Perth, Western Australia, Rhiannon trained at the Marie Walton-Mahon Dance Academy and the New Zealand School of Dance, where she gained a Diploma in Dance Performance.

During her time in New Zealand it was a highlight, and her great pleasure, to have worked with Michael Parmenter, Raewyn Hill, Shona McCullough, Malia Johnston, Garry Stewart and Leigh Warren.

In 2007 she worked with New Zealand choreographer Daniel Belton, joining The Good Company and performing ‘Stitchbirds’ at the Body Festival in Christchurch.

She was a member of LINK Dance Company in 2008, working with some of Australia’s most re-known choreographers including Lucy Guerin, Martin Del Amo, Paea Leach, Danielle Micich, Narelle Benjamin and Michael Whaites.

As a member of the company, Rhiannon toured to Europe undertaking the Anouk Van Dyke Summer Intensive, P.A.R.T.S Residency with Michael Whaites, and The Impulstanz Intensives.

In 2009 she performed in The Sydney Festival’s First Night Performances, and took on the role of choreographer and principle dancer touring nationally and internationally with Australian band; Empire of the Sun.

With the Empire she has thus far choreographed for the 2009 Aria awards, the live touring show, and will be performing in festivals worldwide throughout 2010.

2009/10 also saw her joining Buzz Dance Theatre performing in the ‘At the Beach’, ‘Behind the Veneer, and’ ‘Shortbursts’ seasons. She was also original cast for the creative developments of Alice Lee-Holland’s ‘Tiny Little Tragedies’, and Floeur Alder’s ‘Septum’.

She is excited to be joining Ludwig for the performance of ‘Soul Searching’ at the 2010 Australian Dance Awards, in which she will also perform Buzz Dance Theatre’s ‘Shortbursts’.
