Red Tooth and Claw

Jonathan Brain Indie-folk singer Jonathan Brain’s songs travel the open landscape of the soul; with a unique voice described as "extraordinary" by Wire Magazine and as “haunting” by The Australian he paints distinct visions of post-millennial life - the beauty of the everyday, relationships bungled and hearts on the mend. Jonathan has performed extensively across Western Australia and interstate, including recent performances and workshops at the National Folk Festival in Canberra and the Fairbridge Festival. With quicksilver guitar playing, an effortlessly pure voice and literate songs, Jonathan is an engaging and unique live performer. His two solo EPs showcase his varied influences, which range from alt country, folk balladry and rock through to rich choral and instrumental textures. Jonathan also enjoys a lively schedule as a choral director, working with a number of professional, community and school choirs over the last three years.
